About OCD Diesel

A heavy-duty shop built for this area.

Central Wisconsin and the Northwoods run on trucks: logging and mill haulers, municipal fleets, school buses, and the work trucks local businesses count on. We're the shop in Merrill for the tough mechanical and electrical problems, and for getting you back on the road when you're running out of options.

About the name

Yes, the OCD is on purpose.

We're obsessed with the right answers.

It's not a gimmick. It's how the shop runs, and it comes down to five things.

The OCD standard

Five things we're obsessed with.

Every promise here is backed by how the shop actually runs. If we can't back it up, it doesn't go on the wall.

  1. Diagnosis

    Obsessed with the right answers.

We find the real cause, not a guess.

A warning light or a symptom is where we start, not the answer. We test and confirm what's actually wrong, mechanical, electrical, or electronic, before anything gets replaced, and we explain what we found in plain terms.

    • A set diagnostic process on every job
    • Test before we replace
    • The root cause written on your repair order
  2. Uptime

Obsessed with getting you back on the road.

Your downtime costs you money. We treat it that way.

A truck sitting in a shop isn't earning anything. We line up parts before the work starts and plan the job around getting you back out, and when you can't make it to us, road service can come to you.

    • Parts ETA before we schedule you in
    • Mobile service when you can't come to us
    • Priority for out-of-service units
  3. Parts

    Obsessed with the right parts.

The correct part, verified, the first time.

We match parts to your VIN and engine serial, not just the make and model. Quality new and reman parts come first, and for older equipment we'll track down the correct used part when that's what gets you rolling.

    • Verified by VIN and engine serial
    • Quality brands, OEM or OEM-quality
    • Backed by the NAPA nationwide warranty
  4. Craftsmanship

    Obsessed with the details.

Work done right, and checked before it goes out the door.

The small stuff gets the same attention as the big repair: connections, fasteners, routing, torque. If we wouldn't stake our name on it, it isn't done.

    • Tech checks their own work
    • Test-driven before you pick it up, so there are no surprises when you leave
    • Dealer-grade tools and equipment
  5. Customer care

Obsessed with doing right by you.

Honest answers. No surprises on the bill.

You'll know what we found, what it takes to fix, and what can wait, before any work starts. We'll tell you straight, even when the answer is that it doesn't need anything yet.

    • A findings call before the work starts
    • Written approval on every job
    • Photos of anything that needs fixing now

Who we are

Owner-run.
Hands on.

The owners are in the shop every day. One lives on the electronics side: diagnostics, software, and module programming. The other is a heavy-duty wrench through and through.

That mix is why the engine work and the electrical work happen under one roof, with a crew that knows both.

We've been at our shop on County Road G in Merrill for over five years, serving the Northwoods community.
